Our New Biodegradable Project for Miche Mix

Sustainable packaging is a top priority for many brands that aim to eliminate single-use plastics and redesign packaging to be recycled, reused or composted.

The pandemic has given brands time to step back and take a good look at the environment, customer needs and sustainability goals. Materials, process technologies, end-of-life technologies and infrastructure are just a few of the rapidly evolving considerations that must be thoroughly examined to bring a successful sustainability journey to life.

Brand

Miche Mix was born in Monterrey, Mexico more than 20 years ago. It was the first to bottle the original mix for the michelada, inspired by the original recipe. Then, Miche Mix makes it easier to take your michelada anywhere you need to go with the “Miche Lista” cup. In the last years, Miche Mix has expanded its distribution to North and Central America and recently in Europe.

Project

Interbrands Packaging collaborated with the brand Miche Mix to develop a biodegradable project. Our work was for the product “Miche Lista”, a traditional ‘michelada ready-mix’ distributed in Mexico and the South of the U.S.

The goal was to transform the traditional plastic cup and manufacture a sustainable, biodegradable and eco-friendly solution made of paper. This new drink container degrades 500 times faster than Styrofoam.

Interbrands Packaging has different biodegradable solutions as food containers, plates or cup trays that can help your business to minimize the impact their packaging has on the environment. Please contact us here or check out our social media platforms if you need more information.
